Please read my Rules and Info

Clive has lived a rather exciting life, starting off as the daughter of a mob boss, becoming the favourite of a world-destroying cult leader while still a child, and being a double-agent against said cult leader, before making her way into the multiverse. She will reference things. Major triggers not mentioned above (like rape, disordered eating) will usually be tagged, and any failure to do so will be non-malicious.

Clive's posts are an absolute chaotic mess. Usually they're things like her version of "shower thoughts", but sometimes she just talks about traumatic things. She only has a filter on-app when she's trying to - by her own design.

I prefer to not get her into physical altercations on-screen because she has a tendency to either aim to kill (due to not knowing the enemy's goal in attacking her) or will just hop to another timeline if she thinks she can't succeed in protecting herself. This would be no fun for anyone, even more so when you take into account that she is wearing what would be considered "end game" cloth armour from a world with an insanely high level cap. If you want to have her fight your character, talk to me first. We may be able to work something out.

Yes, Clive's backstory is similar to Ruby's. Clive came first, and Ruby is a 100% OC attempt to make an alternate of Clive that took on a life of her own.

Lore

Present

Clive is an adventurer who travels the multiverse. She has a million irons in a million fires, and does all the work she does either for fun or for her own enrichment in other ways. She is a self-proclaimed "selfish person", though her actions might speak otherwise to most people, since her deeds are usually prosocial. She will insist that her helping strangers is due to a selfish desire to solve problems for her own amusement, NOT to benefit others, thanks!

The truth is, she isn't nearly as bad as she thinks she is. While she's incredibly desensitised to violence, and sometimes she gets testy due to violent urges, she prefers to avoid violent confrontations most of the time. Her past has however left her believing herself to be a monster - not for the actions she took, but because she didn't react to the events the way she should have, and because of her low empathy. She's learned socially acceptable targets of violence (such as raiders, kidnappers, etc.) and aims her occasional aggressive urges in their direction instead of starting senseless fights or hurting people who don't deserve it.

Her main goal in life is simply to have a good time. That's it. She goes where her whims take her. When she's not following said whims, she's often at her home with her brother, which is in an undisclosed location on an undisclosed world.

Clive has a bit of a flair for the dramatic, and will usually not apologise for it.

Clive has a number of pokemon, who she refers to in conversation.
Cinders the Mightyena - Named after Cinderella
Prinz the Nintales - Named after the fox from "The Greek Princess and the Young Gardener"
Rue the Kirlia - Named after Rue from Princess Tutu
Goldie the Swellow - Named after the "golden bird" storytype
Achoo the Rockruff - Named after Achoo from the Provost's Dog trilogy
Ashes the Pidove/Swablu fusion - Named after a pigeon from the Provost's Dog trilogy
Revon the Hisuian Zorua - Short for revontulet (finnish for 'fox-fires', aka the Aruroa Borealis)
Panacea the Zubat - Named after the idea of a remedy that solves all ills, a concept common in stories

Past

Clive was born in a pokemon world to [REDACTED]. Her name at the time was [REDACTED]. She spent the majority of the first seven years of her life among criminals, her father's most trusted, and their most trusted as well, in a secret base under the [REDACTED] City Gym. Upon finding an old phone with rudimentary access to the internet, and to Twitter (which wouldn't be created for about another decade) she was tricked into leaving the base, ending up in the then-modern time of 2011.

From then her life in the multiverse got exciting. She still lived in the bases belonging to her father's organisation, and experienced much of the same general day to day neglect due to those who cared about her being too busy to see to her personally, but now she had access to the outside world through her phone. She met other children, and in this time slowly began to understand just how isolated she was, and eventually how indoctrinated she'd been by her father's right-hand man.

It would be a year later that everything really started going wrong. Her father died, she was taken in by someone who didn't realise how vulnerable she was, and, importantly: She was kidnapped by [REDACTED], a leader of the ecoterrorist-group-turned-cult known as Team Magma.

The only thing that kept her from being killed was pretending to be a scared kid who desperately just wanted to know what to do in life, leading the leader to take her in as one of his "lost lambs". When the cult was pushed under ground, those who chased them away failed to save her in time, leading her to spend the next 8-ish years pretending to be perfectly indoctrinated.

Due to her training in her father's organisation, she quickly rose the ranks among the other children, soon being put in charge of the other similarly-aged children on missions. She eventually became one of the many, many online faces of Magma, spreading propaganda and attempting to recruit as many people as possible, and stirring as much rage as she could as a part of this role.

At one point, she was captured by one of the opposition. She managed to convince them that she was not actually properly indoctrinated and that [REDACTED] would raise any and all hell to get her back, so they should let her be a spy instead of giving her back to her father. Her role as a highly visible member of Magma on social media made her an optimal pick, allowing her to send coded messages in plain sight while keeping her cover.

For another three years she kept this up, even as Magma was pushed into the wilderness.

Eventually, she was able to tell those against Magma where they could finally stop the cult, with her sabotaging Magma's escape routes so there would be no chance their leader would get away. The final battle was terrible, with everyone giving everything they had, ending with [REDACTED] swallowed up by the Fissure of her father's Rhyperior.

And... That was that.

After being talked to by the appropriate authorities, with the people she'd spied for vouching for her, she was allowed to go. She spent some months with a non-violent group of alternate Magmas who had been working against the cult until finally she set out on her own.

The people of her world didn't believe that she had been a spy - all the evils she'd done, all the horrific things she'd said, they were all too real. She couldn't exist in polite society - the chance of being murdered was too high. So she spent time out in the wilderness.. Until one day she asked "Hey, anyone know where I can find a way to timeline hop?" and, despite all odds, got a bite.

Ever since then, her life has been on an upwards momentum. She's made friends and family, become a valued adventurer and mercenary, and even found an art she enjoys - goldsmithing.

Misc

Currently, due to Shenanigans, Clive is a Disgaea-verse demon. She usually has a glamour on to make her look human, but honestly the only difference is longer ears, cat-like pupils, and one inch less of height. Literally. That's all. The most useless glamour.

Clive is a Jack of all Trades sort. Her true strength is her versatility and her over-preparedness. While her armour lets her take a lot of hits, her power output isn't even a smidge greater than a non-magical human when disarmed. Even her magic is low-tier and mostly useful as a tool instead of an offensive force.

While she may seem over-powered at a glance, it's mostly because her main crew is composed of "endboss" tier people, while she herself is closer to "level 30 out of 100" while everyone else is playing with a level cap of 9999 minimum. Said crew has made sure she's well-equipped so she is capable of taking a lot of hits that would otherwise completely flatten her.

She has oodles of bags of holding. She has a number of objects within them as to be comical - and is often played for laughs accordingly. In reality, it borders on hoarding, but is more under control than it used to be.

Clive has no idea what her personality actually is. Sometimes she thinks she's just masking, other times she thinks she's become the mask. She has a hard time really conceputalising herself as a person outside of what she's capable of doing, and has had this issue for a long time. Honestly, she doesn't care too much, but it can be uncomfortable to talk to her on the topic, even if (if not especially because) she is nonchalant about it.

Clive actively identifies as a monster. After learning from an early age that if she was honest about how she was as a person that the world would never see her as anything but a monster, even if she'd never done anything wrong, she decided that she'd simply give in to the idea, and be her own type of monster. It all sounds so very edgy, but in practice it just means "not feeling bad because of expectations outside of your control and not trying to be something you aren't".

Due to fear that she might become something like a dictator if she tried to make the world a better place on a large scale, as she knows her inclinations well, she decided to just focus on herself. A lot easier to not wake up one morning a dictator if you keep yourself out of positions of power!

She has a rather large collection of bullshit t-shirts that she uses as pyjamas.

She has a fear of horses.... Except hell horse, who is an exception because "Well, he has predator teeth. He's not pretending he's not a dangerous creature, he's accentuating it!" Hellhorse may in fact be Slepnir. It was sent to her by Him as a Christmas present one year.

Clive is also thalassophobic, though she's working on that one.

Clive almost always wears purple. If you call her a cartoon character or a power ranger with this as your evidence she will be all "ai'ght, fair enough" about it.

She uses a billion different names, but will always answer to Clive. It was just one of the many names she went around using, but it stuck with her and is now how she thinks of herself.

Clive has several forms she can transform into at will.
Winged Serpent - Leucistic scales and feathers, off-white eyes.
Midform #1 (between human and winged serpent) - White hair, off-white eyes, tan skin on face, red facial accents, white feathers with singed edges. No Freckles. (Midform based of of FlightRising Coatl Gijinka)
Midform #2 (between human and winged serpent) - An anthro winged snake. Leucistic aside from red markings on face. (Red markings based on Smoke Gene from FlightRising)
And she can't see a damn thing without glasses in any damn one of them.

Clive has sensory issues and therefore wears gloves almost any time she's not at home in bed or in the restroom
